Learn from industry experts
Many of our tutors have worked in industry so are experts in
their field and have close links with companies across the region.
This means that you can benefit from employers coming in to teach
on courses, in addition to work experience, giving you a distinct
advantage when applying for jobs.
Build links with employers
Make sure that you develop links with key industry contacts to
get your career off to a flying start. As well as employers coming
in to teach on courses, we also have excellent links with
organisations such as the Woodland Trust, garden centres, the
Environment Agency, the National Trust, machinery manufacturers and
florists. This enables us to organise site visits and work
experience, along with trips across the UK and abroad. We will also
encourage you to enter national and international competitions, all
of which help you develop skills that make you more employable.
