Accommodation

If commuting to Shuttleworth College will be difficult for you, then you can choose to live in our halls of residence on campus. Priority is given to those who live the furthest distance from the College so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.

Our halls offer you a stepping stone to living independently in a safe and secure environment and are particularly useful if your course involves you getting up early or finishing late. Many of our students say the friends that they make in halls are like a second family and you are sure to make friends for life.

We offer single study bedrooms which in 2011/12 were available at a cost of £3,850 per year with full board on weekdays*. This fee is payable in three termly instalments and includes a meal allowance for breakfast, lunch and dinner which can be redeemed at the Garden Restaurant. For 2012/13 prices, please ring 01767 626222.

If you are on one of our full-time courses you can apply for a residential bursary which can help with meeting accommodation costs. Details of this scheme are available from Student Services on 01767 626254.

Our halls include a modern common room which is open in the evenings and provides comfy chairs and sofas along with a plasma screen TV for you to keep up-to-date with your favourite TV shows. The common room also includes kitchen and dining facilities so you can try out your cooking skills. There is a laundry, payphone and gym a few steps away – so you really will have everything you need to feel at home.

You can be reassured that you will be safe and sound as, in addition to the Student Services and warden team, our halls also have an out-of-hours warden to ensure any problems or emergencies can be dealt with quickly.

For further details please download a copy of our accommodation guide.
