What will I study?
Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes – you work
and get paid to gain an industry qualification. You will learn to
prepare establish and maintain plants, including identifying and
reporting the presence of pests, diseases and disorders.
How long will it take?
Up to 2 years.
What do I need to start?
- You must be employed full-time in a related job and willing to
attend College part-time (we can help you find a job if you are not
already employed) AND
- A minimum of 2 GCSEs A*-D including English
What qualifications will I gain?
- City & Guilds/ NPTC Level 2 Diploma in Work-Based
Horticulture
- Functional skills in English and Maths
- A minimum of one competency certificate H
What can I do next?
Apprenticeships train you in the skills employers want, so when
you have finished you can carry on working and you may be promoted
or go on to a higher level course at College.
