This is the last chance for students to sign
up for cost-effective Higher Education courses starting in the
autumn of 2011.
After the current deadline has passed,
the next courses to start will be after Government-imposed
increases come into effect in September 2012.
Degrees will never be as cost effective to
obtain - so sign now or pay thousands more in the future.
Degree-level learning is not all about going
away to university. It can mean taking a professionally recognised
HNC leading to an HND. It can mean starting a Foundation Degree at
your local college and completing the third and final year at
university.
“There is a lot of competition for high-paying
jobs and the vast majority of applicants will be graduates,” says
Tom Kay who leads on HE at Bedford College,
“Investing in Higher Education is one of the
most important decisions you can make to improve your long-term
future income.
“What’s more, you don’t pay a penny up front
as fees are taken from salaries later. And if you come to Bedford
College, you don’t need to ‘go away’ for a university education –
so you can stay at home and keep your part-time local job.”
HNCs will cost £1,345 per year if you start at
Bedford College in September 2011 - and that price will stick
as the student progresses each year, without a break, to HND
level.
BUT if you leave it until September 2012 to
start, the opening cost will have risen to £4,800 per year.
Foundation Degrees at Bedford College will
cost £3,375 per year in September 2011 and that price will stick
for your second year. But if you don’t start until September
2012 the price will rise to £6,000 per year.
The third year of the degree is at the price
decided by the University.
