Creepy crawlies and slippery snakes

The Animal Fun Day at Shuttleworth College at the end of October gives young people aged 11-16 the chance to peer into the lives of creepy crawlies and slippery snakes.   They also get the chance to put questions to the expert staff at Shuttleworth College in Old Warden, near Biggleswade.

Carl Groombridge (Animal Centre Manager/Lecture) said: “The Animal Fun Day is a chance for young people to get up close to exotic creatures that they may otherwise only see on the TV.

“The Animal Centre is home to just about every family of species in the world and habitats include a topical rainforest setting where recorded sounds of the forest give an added dimension to the environment.

“The Animal Fun Day offers young people a unique opportunity to learn about animal welfare and conservation - but with the magic ingredient of fun.  It's a chance to have a close up experience with creepy crawlies and slippery snakes and discover the secrets of these exotic creatures.”
