Shuttleworth College provides educational and
learning opportunities to a whole range of young people.
Pupils from senior schools may visit the Old
Warden Park environment to sample subjects ranging from animal care
to agriculture to help them decide if a career in land-based
learning is for them. The College works closely with local
schools to provide In some cases such visits can develop into a
regular one day a week training activity. If the young people
decide they want to pursue full-time training in these fields, they
can sign up as students at 16.

There are is a whole range of full-time
courses which will equip young people for careers in farming, forestry or fishing, agriculture,
arboriculture or animal care.
Students can be trained to be outdoor activity
leisure personnel - running team-building sessions, or horse
managers working in a stable at an equine yard or learn how
prepared to set up their own business
in floristry or gardening.
Apprenticeship courses are on offer in
agriculture and horticulture where businesses are seeking young
people to train in their field.
Mums and Dads too can benefit too from looking more closely at
Shuttleworth College - many of the same courses are available as
part-time packages which adults can fit
in at weekends, in the evening or around work.
