College is a self-contained, leafy campus providing you with all
the facilities you need to succeed.
Learning Resource Centre
Our Learning Resource Centre has a wide range of specialist
books, journals and e-resources to cater for the courses that we
offer. Facilities are provided for group and individual study. This
quiet space is often used for researching assignments or exam
preparation.
Information Learning Technology (ILT)
We have several ILT suites where you can access up-to-date PCs
and software packages. If you prefer to bring your own laptop, then
WiFi is available 24 hours a day. Advice and support is readily
available, with additional help from information sheets and
textbooks. Digital and video cameras are available to loan and
photocopying, printing and scanning facilities are also available
for you to use. Once you have enrolled we will set you up with your
own network account with College email and internet access.
Lecture Theatre & Conference Hall (Russell Hall)
The tiered lecture theatre seats 220 students and has a linked
projection room. Within the same complex are the foyer and
conference hall which are used for student functions, presentation
events and social gatherings.
Great natural facilities
Shuttleworth College is located on a 500 acre parkland estate,
with access to almost every kind of habitat including grasslands,
wetlands, farmland, heathland and woodland providing the perfect
environment for you to develop your skills and knowledge. Uniquely
situated in a conservation area, the estate has a working farm, a
fishery, a plant nursery and formal parklands with many specimen
trees.
Animal & Equine Centres
We have a dedicated animal centre that houses a wide range of
species including birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, mammals and
exotic animals. The centre provides you with an innovative learning
environment whilst maintaining the highest standards of animal
husbandry and welfare. In addition our equine centre, Mount
Pleasant, is an accredited British Horse Society (BHS) training
centre and includes stables and two indoor arenas.
Sports
We have excellent facilities for many sports and outdoor
activities including:

Garden Restaurant
The popular Garden Restaurant serves you healthy, tasty food at
great value prices. Hot and cold food is available everyday along
with a variety of drinks and snacks. If you live in accommodation
on campus, you will have your meals here from Monday to Friday.
